Bolster-and-swivel-bracket assemblies are typically mounted upright on a boat trailer's crossmembers. They allow a mounted roller bunk, which runs from the front of the trailer to the back, to tilt to accommodate and support boat hulls of different sizes.

Galvanized Steel

Steel parts are galvanized by being hot-dipped in zinc after they have been stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

  • How Would Roller Bunks Install on Karavan Boat Trailer
Since the picture you submitted belongs to Karavan I can't post it here on our site, but if you check out the attached picture you can see how a very similar trailer had a set of rollers like the part # CE27710 installed. For a set of swivel brackets like what you see in the picture that are holding the bunks you'd then want the part # CE10003G-4. I also attached a couple install video links for you to check out as well.

  • Recommended Roller Bunks Replacement for Wooden Bunks for G3 1860 Boat
We do have a variety of roller bunks that can be used as a direct replacement for carpeted bunks. I recommend either going with the 2,500 lb capacity which comes in Black # DL21754 or Silver # DL21740, OR the 3,000 lb capacity which also comes in Black # DL21755 or Silver # DL21741. I have also attached a link to all of the options that you can check out, as well as a link to all of our brackets if they also need replacing.

  • Recommended Upgrades to CE Smith Boat Trailer Model 48810
Upgrading the carpeted bunks on your CE Smith Boat Trailer to roller bunks like the CE Smith # CE27710 is a great way to upgrade the trailer. These will allow for much easier loading and launching of your boat and reduce the stress put on your hand winch during operation. These are 5-foot-long bunks that will work perfectly to replace the 5-foot bunk boards on the trailer. You can use the Bunk Brackets # CE10003G-4 to mount them to the trailer. It looks like the trailer is equipped with...

  • Roller Bunks and Brackets for 5.2 meter Fiberglass Cabin Boat
Hey Garry, we have 5 foot long roller bunk sections like the part # CE27710 as well as 4 foot sections like part # CE27700. You'd want to order a quantity of both that would get you to the 5.2 meter length of your hull that matches the best. Then for a set of swivel brackets you'd want the part # CE10003G-4 for a set of 4 and for u-bolts to mount them part # CE15283GA-4 would be a great solution.

  • How To Install Roller Bunks on a Malone Watersport Trailer
In order to convert your Malone trailer from a roof rack on wheels to a full on boat trailer with roller guide-on's, I recommend using the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers part # CE27700 and CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies for Roller Bunks part # CE10003G-4. The crossbars and brackets will need to removed and then you can install the swivel brackets to the crossmembers and the bunk rollers to the swivel brackets. That said, you will still need u-bolts that match the...

  • Can 5' Roller Bunks Be Used in Place of 7' Bunk Boards for a 15' Sail Fish Center Console Boat
We have had this come up before and the manufacturer stated that the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers # CE27710 would work for a 15' boat in place of your 7' bunk boards as long as the cross members are 56 inches or less. Which your 50" spread is. You can mount them to the existing bunk boards on your trailer or you can use the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies for Roller Bunks # CE10003G-4.

  • Comparing the Dutton-Lainson and CE Smith Roller Bunks
I would be happy to compare the Dutton-Lainson Roller Bunks item # DL21741 and CE Smith Roller Bunks item # CE27710 but there's not that much of a difference. Both are 5 foot long and have 6 rollers per section. Each section is rated for 1500 pounds. Both are made with galvanized steel and heavy duty black rubber rollers. The main difference besides price is the shape of the rollers is not exactly the same. The CE Smith rollers are more round where the Dutton-Lainson are boxy and almost...

  • How To Choose the Correct Roller or Carpeted Bunk Boards for a Trailer
The size of bunk board or bunk roller you will need for your boat trailer is based off the hull size. However, generally speaking the manufacturer knows what size roller/bunk works best for the boat/trailer. Therefore I recommend using the same size that the trailer came with but it wouldn't hurt to go a bit longer if you have room. If you are switching from rollers to carpeted bunk boards then I would go longer. For the carpeted bunk board option we have part # CE27800 which are 36" long,...

The CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 6 Rollers Each - 5' Long - 1,500 lbs - 1 Pair # CE27710 will work well for your LoadRite trailer. If you want the 4 foot option, you can use # CE27700. This will work with the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies for Roller Bunks - Galvanized Steel - Qty 4 # CE10003G-4. • Roller Bunk Recommendation for a Boat Trailer with Wood Bunks
The CE Smith Roller Bunks, # CE27700, that you referenced would be a great option for your boat trailer. These roller bunks are 4 ft long and they can be mounted directly on top of your current wood bunks. You can also use the CE Smith Mounting Brackets, # CE10003G-4, if you want to replace the wood bunks with the roller bunks. Keep in mind, these bunks have a weight capacity of 1,500 lbs, but based on your photo, I do not think you will have much of an issue with that.

  • Recommendation For Adding Bunks or Rollers to a Calkins Boat Trailer for a 21' Boat
As far as size is concerned, you want the bunks/rollers to be at least half the length of your boat. Whether bunks or rollers are the better option really comes down to your use. If you take your boat on and off of the trailer quite a bit, then going with rollers would be a good choice. The boat will smoothly roll over the bunks which is easier and less taxing on the hull of the boat. Given the size of your boat you would need to use 3 of each product below: - CE Smith Roller Bunks for...

  • Can I Use Roller Bunks and Carpeted Bunk Boards Together on Boat Trailer
I'll start off by saying that I've seen quite a few boat trailers that use a combination of rollers like the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 6 Rollers Each - 5' Long - 1,500 lbs - 1 Pair # CE27710 and a carpeted bunk like the CE Smith Carpeted Bunk Boards for Boat Trailers - 7' Long - 1 Pair # CE27845. • Roller Bunks For 8 Foot Long Bunk Boards on Jet Ski Trailer
Since you have 8 foot wooden bunks already, you can indeed just mount the roller bunks directly to the wooden bunks with 3/8" lag screws, and you're correct you'd need four of the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 4' Long # CE27700. The lag screws are something you'd have to pick up at your hardware store, and that's the route I'd go since it's just easier overall (and just as safe) than removing your current bunks. Yes, can replace your current wooden bunks with a set of roller-bunks, like the CE Smith Roller Bunks # CE27710. Upgrading to roller-bunks will improve the loading and unloading of your boat.
